This course reviews the application and reasoning processes behind the principles delivered throughout the COMT curriculum. This course is recommended, not required, to sit for the COMT exam. The course reviews the physiologic mechanisms and the principles behind manual therapy, clinical reasoning skills and clinical examination skills. We will review manual therapy techniques and exercise treatment interventions previously learned in the Cervicothoracic Examination and Treatment, Lumbopelvic Examination and Treatment, Upper Quarter Examination and Treatment, Lower Quarter Examination and Treatment, Exercise Prescription and Soft Tissue Mobilization and Taping Techniques courses. This course may only be taken once the participant has completed all 8 Manual Therapy courses of the certification curriculum. This course is aimed to prepare the participant for IAMT’s COMT exam.
