This course is a case-based course, designed to enhance physical therapy intervention development, prescription, and delivery for an individualized exercise program related to orthopedic conditions. The course will focus on revealing and interpreting the functional limitations of patients, utilizing a cognitive function treatment framework, to develop a patient-centric treatment approach. This course will cover principles of the local, regional and global model for exercise dosage while considering normal tissue healing times and the optimum stimulus for repair for tissues in the involved regions. This course will focus on enhancing the understanding of these principles to physical therapy professionals to design functional exercise progression programs in order to achieve optimum functional outcomes.
